Seeking to change the way that travel companies do business, John co-founded Sundance Vacations with his wife Tina in 1991. Both John and Tina worked within the travel industry prior to founding the business. They took the company from a single office in Pocono Lake, Pennsylvania to a nationally known corporation with 10 locations spread across four states. Knowing the ins and outs of the travel industry gives John a unique advantage over the competition and also allows him to fulfill the mission of Sundance Vacations; allowing people to experience quality vacations and amazing destinations for less. Tina Dowd co-founded Sundance Vacations in 1991 with her husband John. In her 20 years with the company, Tina grew Sundance Vacations from a small start-up telemarketing office to a leading provider of affordable vacations in the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Tina’s award winning vision has guided the growth of the company straight to the Inc. 500/5000 Fastest Growing Companies List.
Bob, a CPA and graduate of Wilkes University, is a results-oriented financial manager with over 30 years of experience working in both public and private industries who joined Sundance Vacations as CFO in 2023. Bob has worked for many local companies such as Benco Dental, Jack Williams Tire, and WNEP-TV. He is a lifelong resident of the Wyoming Valley and currently resides in Duryea with his wife, Denise, and two children. Bob is an avid fan of Penn State wrestling and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He enjoys being in the great outdoors, especially when hunting and fishing!
Marvin, CPA, MBA, began his career with Sundance Vacations in 2001 and served as CFO until 2014 when he was promoted to COO. Marvin has extensive financial experience in the hospitality and leisure industries along with manufacturing, healthcare and banking. Prior to working at Sundance Vacations, he was with Tenenbaum’s Travel where he first was a Controller and then later was appointed to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position. Under Marvin’s direction, the wholesale division grew to be one of the largest suppliers for Disney, USAir, and Hertz Rent-a-Car.
Sundance Vacations CTO, Todd Argenziano, most recently worked at DBi Services – a Global Leader in Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance. He had been with that company for over 15 years in increasingly responsible roles and brings a great depth of skills and technical insight to our already fantastic IT department. Todd is a graduate of Bloomsburg University, an active member of the alumni society, and an avid Giants fan! He resides in the Mountain Top area with his wife and has 3 sons. Todd enjoys hiking, biking and playing golf when he gets the chance.
Candy is responsible for driving the overall product strategy, roadmap, marketing programs and communications. Candy has been with the company for over 25 years and has worked in various departments, giving her the unique ability to develop programs and procedures which benefit the entire organization. She is passionate about bringing superior results to clients with a relentless focus on quality.
Scott manages the Customer Experience division for Sundance Vacations. He is responsible for developing partnerships with real estate developers, resorts, and builders across the US and Mexico. Scott’s military service as a Major in the United States Army, with multiple tours overseas, allows him to keep the company running with an organized focus that is second to none.
Kyle Homer has been with Sundance Vacations since 2008 where he began his career as a Sales Representative. He was promoted to Assistant Director in the King of Prussia office and then to Director in Parsippany where he expanded the Sales Department to include activities that benefit the company by harnessing sales talent. Kyle is dedicated to Sundance clients, and he has jumped into action to help launch new marketing programs. He willingly applies his exuberant problem-solving skills to assist customers and colleagues alike. Kyle’s focus is to be a positive influence on both the company and clients by putting families on vacations to make memories that last a lifetime.
Denise’s commitment to our corporate culture helps us deliver on our mission. She has a keen understanding of how great workplaces deliver great service and she charts a course for the company that maintains a focus on our core values. She is committed to inserting fun into every day by providing recognition and celebrating the achievements of her team members. She is willing to go to great lengths to keep the marketing team motivated including dressing in crazy costumes and creating unique contests! Her passion for service and teamwork are evident in every aspect of her 25 year career.
Carrie started generating leads for the company 12 years ago. Her warm and friendly demeanor with customers combined with an exceptional work ethic propelled her quickly through various management positions on the event marketing team. She applies her decade of field experience to deliver high performing event marketing and online lead generation programs. Currently, she manages critical marketing partnerships with both regional venues and national brands to engage with the public. Carrie maximizes her $5M marketing budget to start potential travelers on a journey that will enrich their lives through travel.
Christina has 20-plus years of experience with Sundance Vacations. She has worked in a variety of roles and has an amazing understanding of what it takes to make the company run smoothly. Christina has been promoted multiple times and in her current leadership role, she oversees the VIP team that work with existing long-term clients. Christina is responsible for making sure that our traveler’s needs are met before, during and after sale of our vacation services. Christina works hard and leads her team by example, ensuring that our team performs at the highest standard.
Tommy is a seasoned professional with experience in a variety of industries. He utilizes his 20-plus years of experience to manage and develop staff, create process-innovation solutions and contribute to problem resolution for Sundance Vacations. At Sundance Vacations, he is responsible for managing and organizing human resource activities that include: employee relations, benefits administration and policy and procedure development. Valerie is a seasoned B2B and B2C digital marketing professional who is responsible for executing all of Sundance Vacations unique integrated online communications programs. In her role, she oversees the development and implementation of support materials and services for marketing, communications and public relations needs. As director, she manages the efforts of the social media team and coordinates at strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of the company. Valerie uses her expertise in content creation, lead nurturing and digital marketing to achieve Sundance Vacations’ goals of increasing brand awareness, thought leadership and demand generation.
Ed has been with Sundance Vacations since 1997, beginning as a sales associate, and eventually being promoted to Sales Director in the New Jersey Market. Since his arrival at Headquarters, in the Wilkes-Barre location, Ed has taken on a wide variety of roles, including assisting the Permission Marketing department. Ed currently heads up both the Client Resolution department, which was honored with the 2014 Gold Stevie Award for Customer Service Team of the Year and the New Client Services Team which is a Stevie Award Nominee for 2016.
