What to Pack

Packing for this destination in the winter time is fairly easy.  Bring lots of warm things, like, so many warm things.  If you are skiing, it's a good idea to bring things to layer, so you can remove items if it gets warmer.  Obviously, don't forget the skis, snowboards and other gear related to shredding snow.  In the summertime, travelers should make sure they bring comfortable clothes that can help them relax!  If you will be hiking, make sure that you bring boots and bug spray!  Even in the hottest summer months the temperature can get down into the 30s at night, so it's a good idea to bring long pants and sweatshirts/coats to make sure you are comfortable.  Other than that, travelers may want to bring along some clothes for a night out on the town as some of the restaurants are quite nice.  For more great packing tips, check out our Sundance Vacations Packing Tips video on YouTube!

Transport

Getting around Colorado will be difficult without a vehicle.  Most attractions, like ski resorts, restaurants and shopping are all spread out, requiring some mode of transportation.  (Tip: It's a good idea to have a vehicle that will handle snow well if you are heading here during the ski season!)  These small towns do have shuttle and taxi services available, but the easiest way would be to either bring your own car or rent one for your travels.  For tips on how to save money, should you decide to rent a car, check out this article over on the Sundance Vacations Travel Blog: "10 Tips for Saving Money on Rental Cars"
