I started working for Sundance Vacations on October 10th, 1994 as a telemarketer. I was promoted rather quickly, to different areas of the company which was very educational and a welcome challenge. I now reside as Manager of the Customer Service Department.
One of my fondest memories was being in attendance when Sundance Vacations was announced as the recipient of the BBB torch award! I'm not shy to say it was a well earned award that I'm proud to be a part of achieving. Our top priority in Sundance Vacations is to ensure the happiness of our clients by providing excellent customer service to an excellent product and I can assure you that we will continue to strive to be the best in these areas.
I have been with Sundance Vacations for over 15 yrs now. Sad to say that I was only 20 going on 21 yrs old when I started. If you think long and hard youíll figure out how old I am now. I have had the opportunity to explore a few different job opportunities with the company.
I think with all the different positions Iíve tried I feel that the one Iím in now is the proper one for me. I am a manager in the New Client Serviceís department. I get to talk with clients all day. I get to listen to them and help them with any issues they have. It is really a great feeling to know when you get off the phone with the clients that you have helped someone and made if not life easier for them, at least their day.
I have been with Sundance Vacations for almost 17 years. I was basically right out of high school when I started here and I wasnít looking for anything specific, but I answered an ad in the paper that said Telemarketers Wanted. So I figured I would give it a shot. Once I was hired, I wanted to prove to my superiors, as well as myself, that I was going to be the top marketer and I was.
It didn't take long for me to see how driven the owners of the company were. Their enthusiasm about being the best at what we do was so exciting and I knew instantly I wanted to grow with this company. Over the years, I have been promoted to several different management positions and I learned something new from each one. I love working for a company who believes in its employees and what we do. Hard work is always recognized and definitely pays off! It's like a big family here and I'm happy to be a part of it.
I started my journey in January of 1995. Like anyone, I just needed something to get me by. I had 4 small children and my husband was out of work. What a blessing! I excelled as an outbound marketer for over a year and was promoted to the inbound department in 1996 in the corporate office. I knew at this point what a great company Dowd Marketing was and started setting higher goals. When the Mt. Carmel Office opened, I immediately extended my interest and yes, I was promoted to Assistant Manager for Evenings.
Mount Carmel soon became the number 1 office and I maintained that position for 3 1/2 years. My next offer was for Lead Manager of the Tamaqua Office which I accepted of course. I excelled as Lead Manager making Tamaqua the number 1 Office along with my partner Yvonne. Tamaqua was my second home for over 8 years! For years my goal was to go even higher and some day become General Manager. I was promoted as GM in September of 2008. I am now on a mission to make a great company even better. I have a lot to give, a lot to learn, and I am truly enjoying my job. Thank you Sundance Vacation for the great opportunities.
I started here in 1999 as a out bound marketer under Helen Kovals day shift. I was only 17 Years old at that time and a senior in high school. I had no clue as to what I wanted do for a career and need some direction. I didn't think at that time that I would find it here. I worked as a Outbound marketer for 4 years wile taking night class At Wilkes University.
Once I heard that an ight shift Inbound position was about to open I moved to night shift. I worked as both an Outbound/Inbound for a year and then became a full Inbound marketer. Last year we started the Confirmation and Reschedule Dept. And I was asked to be the Assistant Manager. What I have learned here at Sundance is that hard work and dedication will be recognized.
