Every once in a while a company will come across a few true heroic employees. This is what happened when Sundance Vacations met Scott Brunnenmeyer. Scott Brunnenmeyer, Director of Operations knows what it takes to be a great leader. Upon graduation from Crestwood High School in 2000, Scott enlisted in the US Army. While enlisted, Scott soon attended Misericordia University, where he graduated in 2004 with a BS in Business and Information Technology. “Information technology was apart of my degree, but I can’t fix a computer to save my life. It’s a good thing I chose business, that I seem to grasp well,” says Scott. Scott came to Sundance Vacations in 2003. Under the tutelage of Director of Marketing Chip Kilby, Scott helped manage a newly formed Permission Marketing Division. While managing a new marketing program in 2004, Scott was commissioned as 2Lt. for the US Army. Scott put his leadership skills to work when he was deployed in July of 2005 to Iraq. “I thought working for Sundance Vacations was demanding until I arrived in Iraq. The heat did not help with the long hours and continuous stress,” informed Scott. Scott returned home safely in November of 2006. He came back to Sundance Vacations and was promoted as Senior Marketing Manager. Scott steadily rose to the top throughout the next few months. In August 2007, he was promoted as East Coast Division Manager, and in February of 2008 he was promoted to Director of Operations where he runs all East Coast and Midwest functions. “I like my job because it keeps me very active, I cannot sit behind a desk all day. Also, I love the outdoors and sports. My position allows me to incorporate both into my daily routine. I get the best of both worlds,” exclaims Scott. Scott currently resides in Mountain Top, PA. He is presently 1st Lt. in the US Army and will be leaving Sundance Vacations to deploy back to Iraq in September 2008. “I’m saddened to leave work, because I take pride in my job, but I look forward to serving God, my country, and my community,” says Scott. Scott plans on returning to Sundance Vacations once he has served his time in Iraq.
