Sundance Vacations Customers: Sandy Shannon, Customer Service Assistant Manager

Sandra Shannon is the Assistant Manager of the New Client Services Department. She is 35 years old, married for 12 years, and the mother of two children; Taylor, 8 and Ryan, 3. She has been a loyal employee for John and Tina Dowd for over 14 years. When she first joined the company, she was an outbound marketer. Shortly after, she was offered the position of inbound marketer, where she stayed for several years. Sandra then was offered another position where she was in charge of a phone room. This was only a temporary position, due to the birth of her first child. When she returned back to Sundance Vacations after her maternity leave, another position was offered to her, in the New Client Services department, and this is where she remains today.

When asked about her experience at Sundance, Sandra replied, “I have truly enjoyed my 14 years with Dowd Marketing/ Sundance Vacations. I think this is the proper job for me. I truly enjoy working with people. I love the feeling I get at the end of a conversation when you know you’ve done your job well and the person on the other end fully agrees. I love being told that the customer is so pleased with the outcome of the call and enjoyed speaking with me. Also, it helps to enjoy talking a lot.

The best part [about Sundance Vacations] is that we are all family here. When you work together for, as many days and hours as we do, you tend to become a family. And just like any family, you have your disagreements along with many good days. But at the end of the day, we always have each others back and would be there for each other on a moments notice.”
